Marco was born in Havana, Cuba in 1945 and lived there with his parents
and older bother until shortly after his father's death in the mid 1950's.
Around that time, Marco, his mother, Lilia, and his brother, Hector, moved
to New York City. He learned to speak English but never forgot where he
came from. In the 1960's he began singing in a salsa band, Orquesta Novel
and continued for 20 years. In the 1970's, he went on to be a stock broker/trader
on Wall Street and was a 25 year veteran until his tragic death in the
9/11 attacks.
